Hikari Shimoda, a Japanese painter, paints pictures of some proper weird kids. They're twisted, creepy, mutated, sad, a little sinister and often not entirely human. But that's not to say that Shimoda's works of art aren't also beautiful; perhaps especially because that beauty is seen through all the vulnerabilities and weirdness.
