The Ganzfeld Procedure :: BBC New Music Shorts 2009 :: Keith McCarthy

In partnership with 6Music, BBC Electric Proms commissioned a New Music Short in 2009, by rising director Keith McCarthy. Filmmakers were asked to submit creative ideas for short films inspired by new track 'Dog Days Are Over' by Florence and the Machine. Selected from over 225 entries, Keith McCarthy worked with producers at Colonel Blimp and received a production budget of just £5,000 to make his film. The result is quite amazing.

It uses homogeneous and unpatterned sensory stimulation to produce an effect similar to sensory deprivation.
